David Creighton

Concert Assistant

David is a local composer living in Eastbourne.

Music has always been a fascination in his life beginning as a young singer in the schoolboy choir to later picking up the guitar as a teenager and playing in concerts in his home area of Chelmsford, Essex.

After leaving school at the age of 16 and working as a building site labourer, dreams of composing music drove him to completing Grade 8 classical guitar and music theory with the ABRSM. This gave him a place at Kingston University to study music followed by completing a Master’s degree at the London College of Music (University of West London) in composition for film and television. Inspired by the great composers of cinema and concert music, David composes music that encapsulates the far reaches of imagination.

The desire to share these musical works with audiences has brought him to the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra. Supporting the ESO in their delivery of some of the most spectacular pieces of music is considered by David to be both a pleasure and a privilege.
